Hi! I’m CJ Dickson, owner of Williamson County Weddings & Events. I want to personally thank you for visiting this site to learn more about us.

WCW began in 2005 with the launch of my first event venue, CJ’s Off the Square. In conjunction with Southern Events Party Rental, CJ’s Off the Square quickly became a premiere location for intimate gatherings with its unique art gallery and garden setting in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee.

In 2006, Amy Parman joined the team and eventually took over primary planning duties for clients of CJ’s Off the Square while I began working with clients throughout the greater Nashville area.

With the first venue well under way and the planning division growing every day, my love of graphic design and all things paper led to the creation of the WCW Boutique featuring invitations and accessories for every occasion. The boutique includes many national invitation brands such as Encore, Checkerboard, Elite and Carlson Craft for a wide selection of custom printed paper products in every price range. So now whether you needed a venue, a planner, or just beautiful invitations, Williamson County Weddings & Events can meet the needs of a wider variety of clients.

In only four short years and with the help of a wonderful vendor team, Amy and I have worked hand in hand with our clients to plan over 150 weddings, birthdays, holiday parties, corporate events and more throughout the greater Nashville area. Together with our assistant, Kelsie Peskett, we are thrilled to be a growing part of social landscape of Williamson County and beyond.

Now that you know a little bit more about the company, take a moment to meet the team:

CJ Dickson, Owner
Entertaining is second nature to me. I can remember hosting elaborate tea parties for my cabbage patch kids and as I grew older, birthday parties and formal dinners for friends and family. Originally from Southern California, I moved to Nashville in 1999 to pursue a career in the music biz. Working in web development and public relations for Essential Records and EMI CMG was exciting and challenging but after 5 years, it was time for a change. I began to dream of creating an event venue that was truly one of a kind. Not only would the location be special, but clients could plan everything in one place – from choosing table linens to cake flavors. CJ’s Off the Square was born and from there, Williamson County Weddings & Events. I live in downtown Franklin with my husband Andrew and our cat, Kitty. When we are not working, you can typically catch the three of us cuddled up on the couch watching The Colbert Report, The Office or Masterpiece Theatre. I am a nut for historical fiction (books and movies) and all things Austen or Bronte. I find endless creative inspiration from event designers Preston Bailey, Colin Cowie, Sasha Souza, Tara Geurard, and of course Martha Stewart.

Amy Parman, Event Specialist
Since meeting CJ while working together in the music industry, I knew that there was something exciting in store for us. We both have a great passion for customer care and a belief that all things can be done with excellence and excitement. Also a Southern California native, I graduated in 2004 with my BBA from Belmont University and enjoyed a career in marketing at EMI CMG before joining CJ in the event industry. I’d had an opportunity to put together a variety of events in the entertainment industry and loved it, and came to find wedding planning additionally rewarding. I still get excited when I meet new clients, hear their ideas, and get the chance to make these incredibly personal and important events come to life for them. I love living and working in downtown Franklin, and when I’m not on the job, you’ll probably see me out to dinner with friends (Puckett’s is a favorite!), gardening, or watching far too many episodes of The Office in a row. I also have a great love for traveling both domestically and internationally, and am always planning that next trip!

Kelsie Peskett,
Assistant to the Regional Manager

As of the spring of 2008, I am currently serving as the office manager/events assistant. Also a California girl, I attended Belmont University, where I graduated with a Music Business degree. Working with CJ and Amy has not only introduced me to the world of event planning, but provides an excellent picture of what true customer service should look like. They both truly love what they do, which creates a great working atmosphere. Although one might think that my duties consist of your average office manager, but I am also the office Deejay, Coffee Brewer Extraordinaire, and volunteer Sheriff. I am also a proud Franklin resident and absolutely love it here! When I'm not in the office I will probably be spotted going for walks around the neighborhood, at the movie theaters, at the Five Points Starbucks grabbing a double chocolate chip frappuccino with chocolate whip cream, or on one of those road trips Amy has planned.
